Process of the Project

We started off optimistic as we aimed to create a fully completed PC first person shooter game using Unity 3D. We were able to create the sky using a sky - box and then we had to add in some objects and obstacles which needed to be downloaded in first. Since our game was a first person shooter game we needed a character to be our base of the game but in Unity there was only one main character and his profile didn't seem to be a very convincing shooter/soldier as he was an engineer. So we then had to research a bit more on how to get a good character for a FPS game. Soon we found a website where we could get a more convincing looking character and some scripts that will help us control him. We then decided to use this site for our game therefore we downloaded the character and we placed the camera in a third person position so that we would be able to see if the character moves smoothly and realistically.we then began to get the scripts done. After that we decided to test the character but it wouldn't allow us to because there were a few errors in the script, so we fixed it according to what we thought that it would be. We were then able to play and soon fixed his movement. We then placed the camera in a position that will allow us to play the game in a FPS perspective. After doing the same for some other scripts we got stuck as we were not able to fix the mistakes found. So we then decided to delete the character and all the scripts. We then used the engineer and decided to make a random game. After that we added some cool effects to the ground and then when we tried to play the game the engineer would not be movable. This forced us to abandon the project as we had run out of time.

This is something like what our project looked like during the process. We could not take pictures of our work while going through the process as the print screen button would not work.

Idea Pt.2

We have now got a clearer image of what we will be doing. we have planned to use Unity 3D to create a game for the Tech Fair. Unity is a game creation software that can be used to create a high quality gaming experience.
This is the link to the Official website:

We have not yet decided what genre of game we will be creating. We may use Cryengine or Unity 3D depending on our limitations, as we may not have the right graphic card.

Idea Pt. 1

Previously we have researched about three tech fair project ideas (me and my partner researched three each). We have now decided to steer away from our ideas and work on a software. Currently we have not decided on what exactly we are doing. We will be researching a few ideas for software projects that would interest us and that hopefully will be or tech fair project for this year.
